Happy Flower Crochet Coasters

Time for a little free pattern!

It has been cold and grey outside here in the Netherlands for long
enough now. So I think it’s a good idea to start making some cute
flower coasters to brighten up your Easter Table next month for
example or just for getting in the mood for spring!

I used Catona by Scheepjes with a 2,5mm hook.

Abbreviations (US terms)

st stitch

sts stitches

INSTRUCTIONS

Make a magic ring, OR ch3, close with ss in first ch, to form ring.

Round 1: 2ch (=1dc), 11dc in ring, close with ss in 2nd ch. Fasten off and tuck away end.

Round 2: Join new color in between sts, ch2 (=1dc), 1dc in same space, 2dc in between next 11 sts, close with ss in second ch from beginning. Fasten off and tuck away end.

Round 3: Join new color in between sts, ch2 (=1dc), 1dc in same space, *1dc in between next sts, 2dc in between next st, repeat from * 10 more times, 1dc in between next st, close with ss in second ch from beginning. Fasten off and tuck away end.

Round 4: Join new color in between sts, ch 1(=1sc), *sc in between next st, hdc in between next sts, 2dc in between next sts, 2dc in between next sts, hdc in between next sts, sc in between next sts, repeat from * 4 more times, sc in between next st, hdc in between next sts, 2dc in between next sts, 2dc in between next sts, hdc in between next sts and close with ss in ch from beginning.

Round 5: *ss in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, 3dc in next 2 st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, ss in next st, repeat from * 5 more times. Fasten off and tuck away end.
