Chunky Pot Coaster

Durable yarn just released a new yarn called Rope and I got some to play around with!

It’s a very chunky yarn made of 70% recycled cotton and 30% recycled polyester and is available in 14 colors. It’s the perfect yarn for macramé, making tassels and feathers. But you know me and my love for crochet, so of course I had to crochet with it!

I first thought I’d make some potholders with it, but they turned out so thick that I think they will do better as pot coaster. It was a bit hard to crochet with but I sure do like the look of it!

I used my Vintage Flower Hexagon Motif Pattern, which you can find here. I worked 5 rounds and at the end I made 11chains, for a hanging loop, before I closed with a slipstitch. I used a 7mm hook and the flower measures 25 cm.
