Atty’s Anemone Blanket Joining Tutorial

You can find the pattern for this gorgeous colorful blanket in my Etsy , Ravelry and Love Crafts store.

Or you can try to find a store near you (here on the Durable site), that sells the Durable Coral mini box, which includes a free pattern.

Catona (25g) and Catania(50gr) are good alternatives. But actually you can use any kind of yarn with matching hook size, you like.

Some of you who already bought the box or the pattern asked me to explain the joining a bit better. So I made a photo tutorial and a video. Hope this will help.

Like the pattern says, you finish 1 motif completely and next motifs you will join in the 9th row as you go. In the 1ch-sp you wil use the 1ch to join and in the 5ch-sp you will use the 3rd ch to join. Note that you are not joining in 3ch-sp!

After working first dc2tog, remove hook from loop, insert hook in 1ch-sp of finished (or later joined) motif, put loop back on hook and pull through,
work the 1ch (= forms a slst) and continue working in pattern, dc2tog in next 2 st and chain 3
1slst in 3ch-sp, *chain 2 and remove hook, insert hook in 5ch-sp from finished motif
chain 2 and remove hook, insert hook in 5ch-sp from finished motif
slst in 5ch-sp, repeat from * 2 more time (last time you slst in 3ch-sp though)
chain 3, dc2tog in next 2 st, remove hook from loop, insert hook in 1ch-sp of finished motif (same ch-sp if there are already 2 motifs joined)
put loop back on hook and pull through, work 1ch (forms slst) and continue working in pattern, (dc2tog in next 2 st, chain 3, slst in 3ch-sp, chain 2) and repeat previous steps and join in every 5 and 1ch-sp

Hope this makes it all clear now!

I also made a video, without sound though cause my voice sounds horrible at the moment.
