OK flower crochet motif pattern

I know I am not the first and only designer to make an Orla Kiely inspired flower granny square. But I like her work so much I just had to make my own version!

Materials:

You can use any kind of yarn with matching hook size.

Abbreviations US terms:


beg beginning

ch chain

dc double crochet

edc extended double crochet

hdc half double crochet

slst slipstitch

st stitch/stitches

sp space

tr treble crochet 

Note: 

Extended Double Crochet starts out like a normal dc, yarn over once and insert hook, draw up a loop (three loops on hook), yarn over and draw through one loop (three loops on hook). Yarn over, draw through two loops twice.

Now you can leave a long end to sew squares together or join your squares as you go like this:
