Heart Coaster Pattern

Make some hearts for your loved ones in their favorite color!

I used a 100% mercerized cotton 50gr/125m with hook size 3mm

Stitches and abbreviations: US terms

begin beginning
ch chain
dc double crochet
hdc half double crochet
RS right side
sc single crochet
slst slipstitch
st(s) stitch(es)

Instructions:
Form a magic circle, or: 3ch, work 1slst in fi rst ch to form a circle.
Round 1: RS: 2 ch (=1dc), 11dc in ring, close round with slst in begin 2ch. (total of 12 sts)
Round 2: RS: 2 ch (=1dc), 2dc in next 5 sts, 3dc in next st, 2dc in next 5 sts, close
round with slst in 2nd ch from beg (total of 24 sts)
Round 3: RS: 2 ch (=1dc), * 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st; repeat from * 4 more times, 1dc in next
st, 3dc in next st, 1dc in next st, * 1dc in next st, 2dc in next st; repeat from * 4 more times, close
round with slst in 2nd ch from beg. (total of 36 sts)
Round 4: RS: 1sc in next st, (1hdc, 1dc) in next st, 2dc in next 5 sts, 1dc in next 2 sts, 1hdc in next 2 sts, 1sc in next 4 sts, 1hdc in next st, 1dc in next st, 3 dc in next st, 1dc in next st, 1hdc in next st, 1sc in next 4 sts, 1hdc in next 2 sts, 1dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next 5 sts, (1dc, 1hdc) in next st, 1sc in next st, 1slst in slst previous round.
(total of 50 sts)
Round 5: RS: slst in first sc, 1sc in next st, (1hdc, 1dc) in next st, 2dc in next 7 sts, 1dc in next 3 sts, 1hdc in next 2 sts, 1sc in next 9 sts, 3sc in next st, 1sc in next 9 sts, 1hdc in next 2 sts, 1dc in 3 sts, 2dc in next 7 sts, (1dc, 1hdc) in next st, 1sc in next dc, 1 slst in last sc, cut yarn and fasten off .
