Back to lots of color again! I do like the grey blanket in my previous post, but making shawls like this is so much more satisfying to me!

Materials:
You can use any kind of yarn with matching hook size.
I used left overs of a 100% cotton, 50gr/150m (about 200 gr for the flowers and 250gr black)
Hook 3,5 mm
My shawl measures: 210×60 cm
Abbreviations US terms:
beg beginning
ch chain
ch-sp chain space
dc double crochet
hdc half double crochet
slst slipstitch
st stitch/stitches
sp space
tr treble crochet
Round 1: 2ch (=1dc), 11dc in ring, close with slst in 2nd ch from beg (12dc in total)
Round 2: 2ch (=1dc), 1dc in same st, 2dc in every next st across, close with slst in 2nd ch from beg. (24dc in total)
Round 3: 2ch (=1dc),
2dc in same st, 1hdc in next st, 1slst in next st,
*1hdc in next st, 5dc in next st, 1hdc in next st, 1slst in next st, repeat from * 4 more times, 1hdc in next st, 2dc in same st from beg, close with slst in 2nd ch from beg.
Round 4: *7ch, skip next 3 st, slst in same st as slst from previous round, 7l, skip next 3 st, slst in next st,
repeat from * 4 more times, 7ch, skip next 3 st, slst in same st as slst from previous round, 3ch, 1tr in same st as beg.
Round 5: *7ch, slst in 7ch-sp,
5ch, slst in next 7ch-sp, repeat from * 4 more times, 7ch, slst in 7ch-sp, 5ch, close with slst in tr from previous round.
Motifs 2 –78 and joining all motifs together:
Rounds 1 –4: as for Motif 1.
Round 5:
All motifs are joined together as-you-go in every 7 and 5 ch-sp while crocheting the 5th and last round, as follows: after the 3rd ch, remove hook from loop and insert hook in 7ch-sp of a finished motif, pick up loop again and pull through, work the 1ch (= forming a slst now)
3ch, slst in 7ch-sp, 2ch, remove hook from loop and insert hook in 5ch-sp of finished motif, pick up loop again and pull through, work the 1ch (= forming a slst now),
2ch, slst in 7ch-sp, continue working in pattern and finish motif.
Repeat the joining where needed. See schematic below
When you join 2 motifs in ch-sps that are already joined, make sure to insert hook in same ch.
Finishing the upper row with ½ motifs:
½ motif:
make a magic ring, or ch 3 and slst in first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: 2ch (=1 dc), 6dc in ring, cut yarn and fasten off and weave in end
Round 2: join yarn in 2nd ch from beg round 1, 2ch, 1dc in same st, 2dc in next 5 st, 1dc in next st, cut yarn and fasten off and weave in end
Round 3: join yarn in 2nd ch from beg round 2, 2ch, 2dc in same st, 1hdc in next st, slst in next st, * 1hdc in next st, 5dc in next st, 1hdc in next st, slst in next st, repeat from * 1 more time, 1hdc in next st, 3dc in next st, cut yarn and fasten off and weave in end
Round 4: join yarn in 2nd ch from beg round 3, *7ch, skip next 3 st, slst in same st as slst from previous round, skip next 3 st, slst in next st, repeat
from * 2 more times, turn motif clockwise, 7ch, slst in ring, 7ch, slst in first ch from beg round 4.
Join ½ motif in the 5th and last round to the upper row with complete motifs as follows:
Round 5: *3ch, remove hook from loop and insert hook in 7ch-sp in upper corner of a finished motif
pick up loop again and pull through, work 1ch (= forming a slst now), 3ch, slst in 7ch-sp, 2ch, remove hook from loop and insert hook in 5ch-sp of finished motif, pick up loop again and pull through, work 1ch (= forming a slst now), 2ch, slst in 7ch-sp, repeat from * 2 more times, 3ch, remove hook from loop and insert hook in 7ch-sp of finished motif, pick up loop again and pull through,work 1ch (= forming a slst now), 3ch and close with slst in slst from round 4 cut yarn and fasten off and weave in end.
(Note: the half motif on the left you start joining in the second 7ch-sp).
Repeat until all 13 half motifs are joined to the upper row.
